Fracture Care

Nobody knows broken bones like TCO board certified specialists.

If you suspect a bone may be fractured, your first stop should be to a specialist. Walk-in services are conveniently available at our Orthopedic Urgent Care clinics.

About Fractures

A fracture is any break in the surface of the bone. Sprains can sometimes include a fracture. While some fractures are treated with casts, others only require a brace, sling or other support. You may have been seen in the emergency room or by your family physician and referred to an orthopedic physician. Our orthopedic physician(s) will determine the best treatment of the fracture and perform the follow-up care.

For information about follow-up treatment, cast care instructions, tips for reducing swelling, showering and itching guidelines, and billing details, please download our Fracture Care Brochure.

Orthopedic Urgent Care – Acute Injury Walk-In Clinics

The best person to treat a broken bone is an expert who specializes in fracture care. Many TCO physicians are Board Certified in trauma coverage, meaning when you or someone you love has a broken bone, we are certified to take care of you. Visiting a hospital isn’t always the best option for treating fractures. Often times starting with a specialist is the best choice for when your injury is acute (sudden onset) and you need to seek immediate expert attention.

If your care is urgent, visit one of our Orthopedic Urgent Care clinics to see a specialist immediately. Twin Cities Orthopedics – Orthopedic Urgent Care clinics can treat most fractures, and no referral or appointment is necessary. Our Orthopedic Urgent Care clinics are open 8 AM – 8 PM, 7 days a week, so we’re there for you when you need us.

TCO has walk-in Orthopedic Urgent Care clinics at their BlaineBurnsvilleEagan-Viking LakesEdinaMaple Grove, Minnetonka, StillwaterWaconia and Woodbury locations. For more information about Orthopedic Urgent Care, and the conditions we treat, click here.
