I want to give an absolute huge shout out to Dr. Daniel Marek! He cut open my hand and drained infection that was causing serious pain requiring 6 days of hospitalization. He was absolutely amazing and extremely informative. Top notch service!

I would like to add my 5 star rating for Dr. Daniel J. Marek, MD, and Twin Cities Orthopedics. Last year I fell and badly broke the two major bones in my wrist. After my successful wrist surgery by Dr. Marek, I developed a rare nerve condition called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. My wrist swelled to twice its size, and to attempt any movement of my wrist or hand caused excruciating pain. I was frightened enough to doubt I would regain use of my limb. Dr. Marek assured me that he and his team would help me recover.

His expertise, his kind manner, and his optimism gave me confidence. Dr. Marek’s PA-C, Ryan Bakko, was just as caring when he assisted me. After six months of intensive physical therapy with the skills of PT/OT Erik Peterson, I recovered to have a useful wrist and hand. I can’t recommend TCO highly enough. Dr. Marek is one of those special physicians who is a talented surgeon with the best of a “bedside manner.” You won’t be in “better hands” than with Dr. Marek, and his co-workers at Twin Cities Orthopedics.

I first saw Dr. Marek for my broken knee cap, a shot in my hand for my trigger finger, then trigger finger surgery and when my daughter broke her arm. Since it’s been a few years, of course I need to go back for my other hand and about to call today. In other words, my family and I are doing all we can to keep Dr. Marek busy! Ha, and we trust him implicitly.

My wife and I are so impressed with Dr. Marek and his team that we have become frequent flyers with him! Dr. Marek is not only an excellent surgeon, but a very caring person. I had Carpal Tunnel and Antecubital Tunnel surgery on my left arm on March 9, 2018. Approximately 2 weeks later, my wife noticed blood-tinged drainage from the elbow area, looked at my elbow, said the incision on the elbow opened up, and immediately took me to TCO’s Urgent Care in Waconia. Ben-PA-C took a picture of the incision, sent it to Dr. Marek, who was out of town. I was stitched up and sent home with an antibiotic.

When I saw Dr. Marek and Ryan, PA-C for follow up, I was told they changed how they stitch up the elbow because of my specific case. Dr. Marek cares about his patient, how the incision looks, and every aspect of the procedure from beginning through to the end. My wife broke her wrist and had surgery, I had Carpal Tunnel and Antecubital Tunnel surgery on my right arm, my wife had Carpal Tunnel on her right wrist, and is scheduled for Carpal Tunnel on her left wrist. Dr. Marek and his team did all of the surgeries with good outcomes! We would recommend him and his team to anyone.

I am a nurse and have plenty of reasons not to like doctors, but Dr. Marek is one of the good guys. Exceptional care of my 3 year old daughter who needed surgery and my son who did not. Tirelessly dedicated to the best care of his patients. I am so grateful he is practicing medicine.

I have been a patient of Dr. Marek for a year now. He is a wonderful, kind and considerate doctor who listens to all of your issues and problems and works with you to figure out what he can do to help you feel better. Dr. Marek is also a very caring person and at my first appointment with him, he had a way that made you feel comfortable and at ease. He would explain everything so that you understood what your options were. My friends that have met him, also feel he is wonderful and cares about his patients.  They also liked how he included them as he explained what your treatment options were. I feel very fortunate to have found Dr. Marek and his care team of Ryan B., PA and Cathy R., Care Coordinator for my surgical needs and follow up care.

I think that Dr. Marek is an awesome doctor. I broke my hip last August. Dr. Marek did the surgery to repair it. I told him that my family was going to Disney World in Florida in December and we asked him if he thought that would be OK. Dr. Marek told us that he would prescribe us going on the trip. When we came back, I gave him a Goofy hat that I had bought for him.

If anyone asks to have Dr. Marek for their doctor, I think that they would feel the same way I do. Dr. Marek is a really kind and caring person. He will make a family and the patient feel really special just like he does for my mom and me.

My wife Dottie had three surgeries done on her left wrist by Dr. Marek in recent months along with numerous follow-up visits. I was with her on each one of these visits. Both of us agreed that Dr. Marek was not only very professional in his approach to medical care but he also exhibited a very compassionate attitude toward Dot, explaining the surgeries in great detail and taking time to answer all her questions. The results of the surgeries were exactly what Dr. Marek advised her to expect. Dottie and I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Marek as an orthopedic surgeon.

Dr. Marek and his team have given me reasons to “keep it all working!” I’ve had many surgeries with Dr. Dan and his team, and I’m forever grateful for their excellent care, encouragement and friendship. I have complete faith in him and feel truly blessed to call him my orthopedic doctor, Dr. Dan!
