Twin Cities Orthopedics Welcomes New Hand and Upper Extremity Orthopedic Surgeon, David J. Gerlach, M.D.

July 27, 2010 (Minneapolis) - Twin Cities Orthopedics is proud to announce the upcoming addition of an orthopedic surgeon and hand specialist to our medical staff, David J. Gerlach, M.D. Dr. Gerlach comes to Twin Cities Orthopedics after completing a hand, microsurgery and upper extremity fellowship at the University of Washington/Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. He will begin seeing patients on Aug. 23.

Dr. Gerlach, a Minnesota-native, will be practicing at the new Twin Cities Orthopedics clinic in Otsego, as well as in Coon Rapids and Princeton. “We’re excited to have Dr. Gerlach join Twin Cities Orthopedics. Patients in the Princeton, Elk River, Otsego and Coon Rapids areas will no longer have to travel as far to see an orthopedic hand specialist,” said Troy Simonson, administrator at Twin Cities Orthopedics.

Prior to completing his hand, microsurgery and upper extremity fellowship, Dr. Gerlach earned his medical degree at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Mo. He went on to complete his orthopaedic surgery/general surgery internship and residency at Washington University/Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo, as well. He has published several articles and presented nationally on orthopedic conditions and surgeries.
