Orthopaedic Consultants in Waconia will play host to the Minnesota Twins when they hold a community youth baseball andsoftball clinic at Brook Peterson Field in Waconia on June 21, 2008.
Waconia and Orthopaedic Consultants were chosen by the Twins to host the event after an OCPA employee filled out an application on the team’s web site. The physicians at OCPA-Waconia say they are excited to have the Twins come out to Waconia and view it as a fantastic opportunity to interface with the community.
The clinics are open to boys and girls ages 6 to 16 and are divided into two 90-minute sessions; the first session is for 6 to 9-year-olds and the second session is for 10 to 16-year-olds. Clinics focus on hitting, fielding and throwing. Parents are encouraged to participate with their children. Children ages 6 to 9 years should arrive at 10:00 a.m.; children ages 10 to 16 should arrive at 11:30 a.m.
The Play Ball! Minnesota Twins Youth Clinic is free for all participants. No registration is required. Youth participants are asked to bring their baseball or softball gloves.
