Minnesota Orthopedic Sports Medicine Institute (MOSMI) at Twin Cities Orthopedics physicians Dr. Gregory Lervick and Dr. Christopher Larson will be presenting at the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA) annual meeting, which runs May 20-23 in Hollywood, Fla. The meeting is attended by national leaders in the area of arthroscopic orthopedic surgery. The foundations of the presentations come from recent research completed by Dr. Lervick and Dr. Larson at MOSMI. More specifically, Dr. Lervick will be presenting on MRI evaluation of healing after a microfracture surgery of the elbow and Dr. Larson will be presenting on ACL reconstruction in adolescent patients with open growth plates. The following studies were the foundation of the presentations: Magnetic Resonance Imaging after Arthroscopic Microfracture of Capitellar Osteochondritis Dissecans Outcomes after Transphyseal ACL Reconstruction in Patients with Open Growth Plate Dr. Larson is also presenting an instructional course in regards to techniques require to perform hip arthroscopy. Instructional Course Lecture: Hip Arthroscopy: Labrum, Impingement and Extra-Articular Problems Mid-America Orthopaedic Association (MAOS)Last month, Dr. Lervick presented at that Mid-America Orthopaedic Association (MAOS) annual meeting in Austin, Tex. The MAOS annual meeting brought together regional orthopedic thought leaders to share knowledge and research. Dr. Lervick presented on patient outcomes after total reverse total shoulder replacement and healing after elbow surgery (microfracture of capitellum) to address cartilage injuries in the shoulder.
