Appointments

Making an appointment in advance can help us prepare for your visit and allows us to reduce waiting time for everyone. When you call for your appointment, please tell us the reason for the appointment or the nature of your orthopedic needs. Appointments of an urgent nature will be scheduled as soon as possible. For routine examinations, please call as far in advance as possible, and an appointment will be made for a time convenient for you. If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance, if possible.

Please remember that as orthopedic surgeons, we are frequently called upon to deal with traumatic injuries on an emergency basis. Occasionally this will cause unforeseen delays in our appointment schedule. Thank you for your understanding.

Pre-Registration (763-520-3935)

If you are a new patient, please call our pre-registration department before your upcoming appointment. By pre-registering, your check-in process will be minimal when you arrive at the clinic.

Please bring the following information to your appointment:

  • Medical information such as medical records, x-rays or MRIs, if not mailed to NWOS prior to your appointment.
  • Co-payments if required by your insurance carrier. Payment is due at the time of your appointment.
  • Insurance information such as the insurance company name, address and policy number. We will make a copy of your card upon your arrival.  For work-related injuries, we will need your insurance company name, address, your claim or case number, employer name, and your date of injury. If your claim has been denied, please notify us.
  • If you have been referred by another physician, we'll need his/her name and address.
  • Insurance plans often require a referral from a primary care provider. Please consult your insurance provider before making an appointment.

Emergencies

Life-threatening: Call 911. Go with responding medical team to the hospital or emergency medical facility.

After Hours: Please call 763-520-7870. Northwest Orthopedic Surgeons maintains 24-hour "on-call" medical care. Our answering service will contact a physician who will respond to your need.
