Minnesota Dance Medicine

Minnesota Dance Medicine is a group of dance medicine professionals dedicated to promoting dance research and education, while offering specialized treatment for the injured dancer.

Minnesota Sports Medicine and Twin Cities Orthopedics are proud to have physicians within our group actively participating in initiatives set forth by Minnesota Dance Medicine.

The medical professionals within our group understand that dance is a very complex sport and it is important to not only understand the terminology of the athlete, but the biomechanics of the movements performed in order to properly prevent injury and also safely return a dancer back to activity.

This group of health care professionals attends many of the countries most prestigious conferences. The Twin Cities has the third largest dance community in the country and Minnesota Dance Medicine appreciates the need for a specialized group of health care professionals to work with this high caliber athlete.
