Twin Cities Orthopedics, in conjunction with Minnesota Sports Medicine (MSM), supports and supplies the faculty for one of three sports medicine fellowship programs nationally that exists in a non-university setting.
The one year fellowship offers orthopedic physicians advanced training in sports medicine. The experience includes clinical, surgical, on-field and training room experiences. It provides the opportunity for orthopedic surgeons to move beyond their traditional role and work alongside a sports medicine team that includes:
- Sports Medicine Primary Care Physicians (e.g., family medicine, pediatrics)
- Sports Physical Therapists
- Certified Athletic Trainers
