Practice Overview
Edward Kelly, MD is an orthopedic surgeon based in Edina and Burnsville. He joined Minnesota Orthopaedic Specialists, now a division of Twin Cities Orthopedics, in 2002. He specializes in arthritic, traumatic, and sports injuries to the shoulder, elbow and knee.
Dr. Kelly has published several papers and is fellowship trained in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder and elbow. He has a certificate of added qualifications in sports medicine and has served as a faculty member for the MOSMI Sports Medicine fellowship program since 2009. Dr. Kelly also serves as the lead team physician for the University of St. Thomas men's and women's athletic teams.
Education
Dr. Kelly graduated from the University of St. Thomas. He attended Mayo Graduate School of Medicine and completed a tour in the United States Navy serving as a General Medical Officer. After leaving the Navy, Dr. Kelly returned to the Mayo Clinic to complete his training in orthopedic surgery. Following his residency, he traveled to Melbourne, Australia to complete a shoulder, elbow, and sports medicine fellowship.
