David Gesensway, MD specializes in the surgical and non-surgical treatment of the hand, wrist, and elbow. Special areas of clinical and research interest include distal radius wrist fractures and tendon transfer surgery for tetraplegia.   

"I enjoy teaching. When patients understand all aspects of their care they become active participants in their recovery and have better outcomes. My team of certified hand therapists and certified physician assistants and orthopedic sssistants greatly help patients through this often difficult process."

Education

Dr. Gesensway is a graduate of the University of University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency and hand surgery fellowship at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
