Dr. Arthur is a orthopedic surgeon with subspecialty certification in sports medicine. His special medical interests include athletic injuries, arthroscopy (shoulder, knee and ankle), minimally invasive ACL reconstruction, shoulder instability and rotator cuff injuries, total joint replacement (shoulder, hip and knee), trauma and fracture care (including fracture non-union), arthritis and injuries related to osteoporosis. |
| Education |
Andrew Arthur, MD grew up in Minnetonka, MN. He earned his undergraduate degree from Princeton University where he played on the basketball team. He completed his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. After medical school, he completed his internship and residency at the University of Minnesota's Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Personal Interests
Dr. Arthur is an athlete and true outdoor enthusiast. He enjoys golf, tennis, biking, skiing, hiking, and canoeing. A Minnesota summer is not complete until he and his father have made their annual trip to the Boundary Waters.
His wife, Christie Heikes, MD is also an orthopedic surgeon at Twin Cities Orthopedics. Their twins, Callie and Campbell, are the other true love of their lives. |
